Dad Under Construction was founded in 2014 with the purpose of strengthening families and marriages by building up fathers. DUC has celebrated 34 years of marriage to his first and only wife, Mom, who together have raised three children to adulthood or near-adulthood. These experiences and perspectives are glimpses into our lives, as imperfect as they have been, that will hopefully give you hope for whatever your family may be facing.

The concept for this blog has long been coming, and addresses a perceived need in the online blogging community as support for Fathers and Fathers-to-be. Men have been given a gift of strength and leadership, that for many remain undiscovered and cast aside as a treacherous part of their character. DUC believes there is a need for men to discern their value and worth as important members of their respective families and future families, and by doing so, will allow the women in their lives to more fully flourish by freeing them up to act in accordance with their given femininity. By being true to the virtue and gift of masculinity, men will be equipped to live up to the full potential of their given vocations, whatever that may entail. The point of this blog is to offer my perspectives on my successes and failures, so others can learn from my successes and mistakes.
