What Will Your Litany Be?

Mary and Joseph each have a prayer honoring them which is a litany of their virtues and qualities.  This litany is a testament to their influence not only on those who personally encountered them, but on those who encountered them while exercising their faith.  When we die, what will be our litany? Will it be Steve the quick tempered, Steve the adulterer, Steve the unjust?  Or will it be Steve the patient, Steve the faithful, Steve the penitent?  When we are gone, all our family will have is our litany.  Rather than building our testimony, which focuses on our sins, we should build our litany, which focuses on the virtues we attained by overcoming sin.  God has already forgiven our sins.  Let’s ask Him for the grace to continue building virtues so that our litany inspires our family to greater holiness.
